ITWorld tries to imply that stand alone boxes of Liunx may disappear becuase Mandrake is having problems.  While we at linuxinstall.net would miss it the economics are understandable.  The Mandrake team has been struggling for some time.  This distro was one of the first Desktop Focused Distrobutions.  It really hasn’t kept pace with competitors like Ubuntu and Mint but it still works for most things.
