Right Yeah we know.  That is why Open Source, Open Core and Freemium based companies exist.  They are all there, just like Red Hat, ready to send you expensive but extremely talanted people that can help you get the most out of your linux or other open source software.  The reality is that these more expensive people are still cheaper than the cost of the software alone.  Then add in-house or Exernal support staff to implement it just as you would for the open source software.  The article recounts a lot more points and is definately something to remember when you are talking to your boss and other executives.
