Fork Open Office!

As you all know, we here at LinuxInstall.net are big proponents of Open Source software.  So when we hear of rumors of an open source project possibly closing itself off, we are happy to hear of someone else coming along and picking up to keep the project open.  This is exactly what is happening to Open Office.  While it has not officially gone closed and proprietary, a group has come along to make sure the project stays open source.  Head on over to Linux Journal and read an article on what is going on to this popular office suite.  Or, head over to the new location for the software itself, at The Document Foundation and download the newest version of what is now known as Libre Office!
