A Beginner’s Guide to NMAP

If you are looking to learn a little about some security features head over there and check out the article.  There are many uses for nmap, or “Network MAPper”.  The guide takes you through on how to obtain nmap for your distro, and then continues on giving examples of how to do scans to show open ports, and what services may be running as well as a few other points.
