There is money in Linux....

Great news to our ears...Linux is where the money is. Well at least we should have all gotten raises. Hopefully employers are looking at this and adjusting things appropriately.

Is this the begining of the end for Operating Systems?

ITWorld tries to imply that stand alone boxes of Liunx may disappear becuase Mandrake is having problems.  While we at linuxinstall.net would miss it the economics are understandable.  The Mandrake team has been struggling for some time.  This distro was one of the first Desktop Focused Distrobutions.  It really hasn't kept pace with competitors like Ubuntu and Mint but it still works for most things.

Hey Guess what Microsoft is gonna do Linux....

Microsoft woke up to the fact that to do a cloud service you have to do linux.  It's now offical that in 2012 they will by popular demand be providing Linux servers on their Azure Cloud service. ZDNet has a nice article with a few more details about the announcement.
