Is Linux Mint really more popular than Ubuntu?

If Distrowatch page views are your yardstick then yes.  But in reality its' kind of hard to give the win to Linux Mint since their flagship distro if based on Ubuntu.  The folks over at BeginLinux.com sucked us into this debate and you can hear more of our conversation about it on the podcast.
