Ubunutu 9.0.4 vs Fedora 11

Head to Head Benchmarks found here have a close race everywhere but in disk access.  Fedora is reading and writing considerably faster in most cases.  This access benifit also helped withe the DataBase benching. The details of the hardware can be found here.  The newer Kernel and EXT4 are probably the biggest benifit for older machines.  Ubuntu though did seem to bet Fedora in the graphics tests.
